It was finally happening...I was leaving the nest.
My husband (then fiance) had military orders for a permanent change of station (PCS) to San Diego and we only had a few weeks to buy furniture for our future apartment. So, we took advantage of the Labor Day online sales. After searching high and low, we settled on a beautiful mattress and bed set for an affordable price. When it finally arrived at our new apartment, we quickly realized our mistake....
There was nothing wrong with our mattress per se. However, it ended up being TOO FIRM for my body. I gave it a try for one week but it only gave me THE WORST pain I've ever experienced in my life! I remember waking up one night, jumped out of bed with pain on my ribcage, and dropped to the floor to do a deep stretch.
I knew after that traumatizing moment that something needed to be done. The rest of our furniture wasn't going to arrive until a few more weeks and the floor wasn't an option either.
After researching online, I bought a 3" Novilla Mattress Topper on Amazon. It was the BEST decision I have ever made. After unboxing the product and laying it on our bed, we decided to give it a test shot. Let me tell you about the life-changing moment of a soft topper.
WOW. WHAT. A. DIFFERENCE!
It literally felt like cloud nine the moment our bodies laid to rest. Alas, the mattress topper that saved the night and many nights since then.
The mattress topper comes in three sizes. The 3" topper included a 1" cooling gel memory foam and a 2" bamboo charcoal foam for added plushness and softens firm mattresses. The best part is that it minimizes motion transfer! I remember the first few mornings where I woke up thinking my husband forgot to go to work only to turn around and find that he's GONE! I am usually a light sleeper and will wake up to any movements/sounds so this was a surprise.
So friends, if you are planning to throw away your current mattress because it is TOO FIRM, my top tip is to buy a mattress topper like the 3" Novilla Mattress Topper on Amazon.
I hope this tip helps and let me know in the comments if you tried it out too.
